Randolph’s Leap release a new album, ‘Worryingly Okay.
Including recent single Television’, it’s the follow-up to 2016’s release for Olive Grove Records, ‘Cowardly Deeds’. The new record sees the band return to Lost Map, for which they recorded 2014’s debut long-player ‘Clumsy Knot’.
Available as a download as well as on CD, on this occasion, the album is largely the work of Nairn born-and-raised singer Adam Ross – a return to his DIY roots which often see him working on the bulk of a release himself.
However, the full band – including Adam Firenze (drums), Vicki Cole (bass), Andrew MacLellan (electric guitar), Heather Thikey (violin), Ali Hendry (trumpet), Fraser Gibson (trombone) and Pete MacDonald (keyboards) – will be in support of Ross at Glasgow’s CCA on June 9.
In fact, the current ‘Isle of Love Tour is a solo effort, with a difference – a stage play with the singer providing musical backing to the actors, in a play based around Randolph’s Leap songs, and scripted by Euan Martin and Dave Smith of the Right Lines theatre group.
The tour of the play calls at the following:
