Randolph’s Leap release a new single, ‘(You Can’t Put The) Brakes On Love’.

Available to download, it’s the final (and title) track to be taken from the ‘Brakes On Love’ self-isolation album.

The band’s “emergency album” was recorded by Ross’s Aberdeenshire home over the course of four days in March 2020 in response to the band’s tour being cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

A second home-recorded lockdown album ‘Howling At The Sun’ is also due for release and comprises revitalised recordings of songs from the Randolph’s Leap songbook.

The video was, the singer says, “a collaborative exercise to overcome the lockdown blues by filming content remotely, sending it via the internet and editing it all together while incorporating some footage from our Zoom calls.” Various pets and babies feature, including the family of Lloyd Meredith, whose Olive Grove label put out Randolph’s Leap releases under normal circumstances.

“Musically, the song channels Motown and George Harrison and is a celebration of love and positivity,” Ross adds.

Randolph’s Leap i.e. Adam Ross in solo mode, will be part of an Olive Grove livestream on Thursday 7th May from 7.30pm.
