On Monday 6th August from 7pm, Marc Riley’s 6Music show has Port Sulphur in session, as Douglas Macintyre (of Creeping Bent, Secret Goldfish and Nectarine No.9 fame) gathers together a merry band to perform selections from their new ‘Paranoic Critical’ album.

Monday also sees RM Hubbert feature some of his favourite music in the Pic and Mix segment of Vic Galloway’s Radio Scotland show. Plus. a couple of new tunes from Be Charlotte – that’s from 9pm.

On the box, you may have missed the history (or future?) of Scottish music in the final part of Rip It Up but you can see the whole series at that link.

And David Scott (out of the Pearlfishers among many other activities) is in the throes of compiling a series of Classic Scottish Albums via a series of podcasts – KLF, Love and Money, Belle & Sebastian, Bert Jansch, Primal Scream, Deacon Blue, Proclaimers, Texas, Orange Juice, plus the latest addition, Simple Minds‘ ‘New Gold Dream’ (oddly enough).
