Quitter release a self-titled album, via The Death Collective.

The brainchild of singer-songwriter Kenny Bates, the 9-track long-player is the follow-up to debut ‘Commuter Town’.

Part of the Death Collective – a Stirling “weirdo/alt singer-songwriter bunch” – Bates was previously know as Lefthand, releasing a 7-track mini-album as well as being formerly a member of local act of Bianca.

Like previous work, the new album consists of 4-track cassette and live-take digital recordings made in a variety of living rooms, halls and attics. It’s available on CD as well as a digital download.

Recorded by Bates along with Kieran Hughes, the release was mixed and mastered by Stevie Cossar (Scottish Power, Sumshapes, Howie Reeve, Gift Horse).

The band have several shows lined up including the following:

30/03 – The Wee Red Bar, Edinburgh
31/03 – The Market Bar, Inverness
07/04 – ‘Thinking/Not Thinking Fest’, New River Studios, London
13/04 – The Old Hairdressers, Glasgow
