Pumajaw re-issue album ‘Cat’s Cradle’, as a Bandcamp download for the first time since its original 2005 release.

The band have also uncovered a small batch of original CDs with these and the downloadable version available via Bandcamp.

First released in 2005, the eight tracks consist of seven self-penned tunes, plus a traditional folk song ‘Fine Flowers in the Valley’, and incorporate guitar, concertina, melodeon, ebow, lyre, bells and drums.

The duo – Pinkie Maclure and John Wills – have recorded seven albums spanning the past two decades, including 2009’s compilation ‘Favourites‘ which covers the first four albums under the Pumajaw moniker, spanning 2003 – 2006.

This was followed by ‘Demonmeowmeow‘, released in 2011, and 2014’s ‘Song Noir’, but a six year hiatus ended with the soundtrack to a short film, ‘Strange Bird’, in early 2020, plus a free-to-download single last March, ‘The Nameless Now‘.

The pair first met when Wills – once of Loop and The Hair and Skin Trading Company – produced an album made by Maclure, leading to their collaborating on multiple albums over the years, under their own names as well as Lumen and Fingerfood.
