Pronto Mama release a single, ‘Arabesque’, on the legendary Electric Honey label.

This celebrates 25 years of the student-run record label, now based at Glasgow Kelvin College.

The track from the Glasgow-based sextet acts as a trailer from the band’s debut album ‘Any Joy’ due out on formats on the 5th of May.

Following in the footsteps of the likes of Belle & Sebastian, Biffy Clyro, Odeon BeatClub and Snow Patrol, the band – Marc Rooney, Ciaran McEneny, Martin Johnston, Michael Griffin, Craig McMahon and Alex Sharples recorded ‘Arabesque’ throughout remote Scotland, which was then engineered by long-time friend of the band, Paul Winton of Bellshill’s North Road Studios.

The band play Oran Mor, Glasgow as a launch show, as part of Celtic Connections.

They then tour Scotland to promote the album in May:
10th May – West of the Moon, Ayr 

11th May – Clarks, Dundee 

12th May – The Mash House, Edinburgh

13th May – The Bungalow, Paisley

25th May – The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen 

27th May – The Tollbooth, Stirling 

28th May – Knockengorroch Festival, Dumfries
