A quiet-ish gigging week for you, but let’s press on with the news that punks Sham 69 are in Glasgow on Tuesday 30th, at the O2 ABC. Hopefully sporting more original members than they had at Wickerman a couple of years back.
Speaking of former chart heroes, LA’s Latino lotharios Los Lobos play Perth Inchyra Arts Club, also on Tuesday.
On Thursday 2nd in Edinburgh, Franklin Fest takes place. Not entirely sure what that is, but Lord Rochester are part of that, on Friday 3rd, if that makes any sense.
In Perth on Friday, and doubtless celebrating the release of a split single on Gerry Loves Records, local guys made good Poor Things are at Twa Tams. The band are also at Aberdeen O’Neills on Saturday 4th.
Another Perth lad, Dave Arcari, is at Dundee Buskers on Friday 3rd. Plus, Sat 4 Clerks (Lindsay St Dundee).
And also on Friday, at Broadcast in Glasgow, Ded Rabbit, who impressed at XpoNorth in Inverness last month.
Edinburgh alt.rockers Social Order play PJs in Dunfermline on Friday 3rd – the band also play also Kitty O’Shea’s in Glasgow on Saturday.
Finally, on Sunday, it’s Madness – part of MoFest in Montrose – at the East Links on Sunday 5th.
