Passion Pusher releases a single ‘My Guy’ following recent release of his album Aquarium.
The Edinburgh-based one-man-band – James Gage – started making music at the age of 15, recording on various four or eight tracks and over the next four years uploaded over 220 EPs, albums and demo tapes to Bandcamp.
However, ‘Aquarium’ is his first album ‘proper’ – Song, By Toad put out Passion Pusher’s first official cassette release – and its 13 tunes were recorded and mixed by Matthew Young over the space of three days at The Happiness Hotel, Leith with some assiatance (and mastering) from Reuben Taylor.
Although still very much a solo project, the new release includes collaborations with Cal Donnelly, Sean Armstrong and Jack Mellin from Spinning Coin and Eilidh from Breakfast Muff.
