OK Button release a single, entitled ‘Flesh & Blood’.
It follows up a pair of previous releases, ‘The Message’ and ‘Beds’, from the trio of Amber Wilson, Nass Donald and Adam Falkner.
The trio were formed when Wilson was spotted by Babyshambles drummer Adam Falkner when playing an acoustic solo set in her native Aberdeen.
Along with Falkner, Wilson – vocalist with Bombay Bicycle Club and Morcheeba – began work on a side project, then joining with multi-instrumentalist Nass Donald and enlisting writer/producer Craigie Dodds, who had worked with Amy Winehouse, Gorillaz, and Sugababes.
Of the new track, Nass says: “Flesh & Blood carries two threads of narrative around the effects of depression on both sufferers and those close to them. It’s a story of loss and isolation, about losing your sense of self and gradually drifting further from those you love.
The song was written during a studio session in Wandsworth, providing bittersweet catharsis for the band, having personally experienced the struggles of living with depression.”
They trio have again enlisted BAFTA winning director Tim Courtney forthe accompanying video for the single.
