An archive album from Ayrshire folk-punk act Nyah Fearties has been re-released as a free download.

Originally from April 1995, ‘Granpa’ Craw’ was the final long-player from the Lugton act.

Two versions of the album were originally made available – the original “European bootleg” (as the band titled it following a dispute with their management) and a subsequent self-released “full” version, featuring bonus tracks which are included in the download.

The band – brothers Davy and Stephen Wiseman, along with on this release Michael Woods and Allan Henry – had the bulk of the 17 tracks produced by Bobby Luccini in Brussels , although the bonus tunes are one home recording as well as a live version of traditional favourite ‘Campbelton Loch’ from a gig in Hannover earlier that year.

The band split not long after the album was released, but the Wiseman brothers went on to record in Dub Skelper, and more recently, Junkman’s Choir.
