Nelson Savage release a new EP, ‘Guide Them Home’, via the Anti-Manifesto label.

The six tracks on the EP – available to stream or download – are split between half brand new tunes, and the remainder re-imaginings of previously-released songs.

Initial plans to record a new EP at Chamber Studio in Edinburgh were “scuppered” by the lockdown, meaning’Guide Them Home’ was was recorded completely DIY in the homes of Craig, Gary, James, Kevin, and Peter during the Covid-19 lockdown in April/May this year, before being mixed by James Johnson.

The songs are also something of a departure from the Edinburgh quartet’s usual style – formed in 2018, the band describe themselves as “abrasive indie punk noise”. However, the enforced setup saw the quintet experiment with unusual sounds, including the addition of violin (on ‘Better Days’), performed by Katie Small.
