Quite a few shows on this week across the country, so best crack on with the picks of the live scene…
On Wednesday, guitar legend Duane Eddy is at Oran Mor in Glasgow (sadly the Art of Noise will not be present)
Thursday sees Fatherson and The Xcerts in a neat double–header at The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen.
On Friday: Dancing Mice launch album number 5, at Henry’s Cellar Bar in Edinburgh. Alternatively, RM Hubbert is at The Third Door
Same night, in Glasgow, Withered Hand, the Second Hand Marching Band and Beerjacket are at Glasgow’s Nice’n’Sleazy’s.
Saturday takes an impressive total of quality bands and doubles it (at least) – Stag and Dagger is across various venues in Glasgow with Django Django, The Phantom Band, White Denim, Death Grips, Discopolis, Adam Stafford, Miaoux Miaoux, Washington Irving, and many many more. Although, you might want to forgo all that and schlep through to the capital – Mitchell Museum make their return to the live scene after a bit of a break. They play Limbo at the Voodoo Rooms with Jonnie Common, and Gav Prentice from Over the Wall
They also play the Doghouse in Dundee, on Sunday.
And finally (on Saturday anyway) – Roddy Woomble is at Howden Park Centre in Livingston, mentioned largely because nothing every happens musically in West Lothian.
