Meursault release a new EP, ‘Simple Is Good.

The six-tracker acts as a trailer for the newly-reformed band’s comeback album in February.

As well as a download, the EP comes as a limited run of 500 hand-printed CDs. It was recorded largely live at the label’s Happiness Hotel recording space in Leith in October.

The band’s ‘reformation’ comes after a hiatus where founder and mainman Neil Pennycook worked under the guise of Supermoon. However, the band has been reconstituted, with Robyn Dawson, Fraser Hughes, Sam Mallalieu and Reuben F.Taylor all performing on the recording, which was made by record label impresario Matthew Young, and which also features guest vocals by Sophie Dodds & Bart out of Eagleowl.
