Marky Wildtype releases a new album, ‘Bruising Words and Bitter Pills’.

It’s the debut solo outing from Mark Blanford, formerly of Edinburgh three-piece Wildtype as well as guitarist in rock acts DeNomolos, and Terrestria.

The collection stems from a challenge from Emily Kelly of The Jellyman’s Daughter to write a few new acoustic songs in a short space of time.

The result is 10 tunes written by Marky Wildtype, and as well as being self-recorded and mixed, are largely performed by him, aside from drums on three tunes from Ewen MacLennan and fiddle on ‘My Family’ by Jon Bews.
