Louise Connell releases a new single, ‘Crossed The Line’ – featuring Sharon Shannon – on 9th Story Records.

The new tune – available to stream or download – is a new re-recording of a track from the double album release of last year, ‘Squall Echo Rale’, which came out last summer.

The guest slot from the legendary accordion and fiddle player came about due to the two musicians sharing a publisher.

Shannon is regarded as something of a legend in Ireland and indeed on the world folk scene, having played with acts including The Waterboys, Sinéad O’Connor, Jackson Browne, Kirsty MacColl, Nigel Kennedy and The Lee Thompson Ska Orchestra.

Also on the track is Stuart MacLeod, who performs guitars, bass and drums.

Next live show for Connell is – sadly we suspect, without Shannon – at The Georgian Hotel in Coatbridge, with Adriana Spina & Marina Rolink, on Saturday 15th February.
