Glaswegian quartet Long-Distance release a single, ‘Violent Type’, which confronts the real stories of domestic violence survivors.

The track follows up previous singles ‘Grail’ – their debut – and ‘Be A Man’, and was produced, mixed and mastered by Kevin Burleigh (Glasvegas, Holy Esque) at Gorbals Sound in Glasgow

The track is from the perspective of a domestic violence survivor, written from a combination of research and experience, taking phrases from real accounts and building a narrative around these.

All proceeds will be going to Simon Community Scotland as all the band members want to focus on the importance of helping those who are more vulnerable.

The band – Scott Gibbins, Jonathan Cairns, Andrew McLaughlin and David McManus – have two shows within the next couple of months – on October 26th at Glasgow’s Hug and Pint with Tacado and Amy Lou, then at Keith Depot on November 2nd with Splendid Suns also on the bill.
