Late Fees release a Christmas single, ‘Wrapping Paper’.
The follow-up to ‘Silent Siren‘, the track from the Glasgow trio – Jack Mackenzie, Michael Hamilton and Andrew Gordon – is available as a Bandcamp download.
The song was written by Gordon, who describes the track as being a “tongue-in-cheek but uncynical Christmas tune about trying to find some festive spirit in anxious times.”
“I wrote it shortly after last year’s UK general election while living abroad,” the singer continues, “so it reflects the odd situation of missing a home that’s becoming increasingly fractured.”
Available to download via Bandcamp, or stream, the track was produced by Michael Hamilton, with mastering and additional mixing by Ross Cairns.
