Glasgow musician Kev Denny releases a new album ‘Lucky Mornings and Graffitied Soul’.

The ten tracks were mixed and produced in analogue with Samuel Smith in Glasgow’s Hidden Lane at the Green Door studios, using tape machines, space echo units, and spring reverb (“or a long metal spring!”).

Citing influences ranging from Smokey Robinson to Cat Power, Denny describes the album as being “partly inspired by The Zombies and the idea of combining many hooks and different parts into a half an hour pop record,” with a classic and modern vocal elements and melodies taking influence from

Denny has been playing live in bands and solo over the last ten years, most recently as guitarist in the music collective Woven Tents writing music influenced by music from around the world from Afrobeat to Ethiopian jazz to Balkan rhythms.

He has also completed an instrumental which was accepted late last year for the Remembrance Day For Lost Species compilation.
