Kettle of Kites release a new single, a re-worked version of ‘Supernova’, courtesy of London based producer ‘Pour Atom Oil’.

The original version of the track was a single from the band’s latest album ‘Arrows’, a science fiction concept album from earlier in 2019 featuring 9 tracks inspired by the ideas of Isaac Asimov.

As frontman Tom Stearn explains: “‘Supernova’ is in fact a love story between a robot and a human, but it’s not clear which is the human and which is the robot. It’s a reflection on what love really is, how it affects us and where the line is between the realities and fictions we tell ourselves, between ‘programmed’ feelings and the inexplicable reasons we love something or someone.”

The multi-national quartet also consists of Genoa’s Pietro Martinelli (bass), Brussels-based Marco Giongrandi (guitar) and London-based drummer Riccardo Chiaberta,

The band have two shows lined up for the New Year:

24 Jan Glasgow / The Hug and Pint (as part of Celtic Connections)
27 Jan Edinburgh / Sneaky Pete’s (as part of Independent Venue Week)
