Looks like a very metal week (and we use the term ‘metal’ advisedly). For example, on Wednesday, vicar-baiters and all-round fun guys Cradle of Filth are at The Garage.
In Glasgow on Thursday, pan-European electro combo Numbers Are Futile play Nice’n’Sleazy, while in Edinburgh, SAY winner Kathryn Joseph is at the Electric Circus.
On Friday, Scots rapper Loki plays Edinburgh’s Bongo Club, while reformed Danny Baker-soundtrackers Squeeze are at Edinburgh’s Concert Hall.
Friday night sees veteran psychedelic exponents Gong at Audio in Glasgow, and Prehistoric Friends at the Hug and Pint.
Om Saturday, Extreme Noise Terror bring the noise to Audio, while in a curious clash of shows, Carcass are at the Barras.
In Perth, ‘hotly-tipped’ John O’Groaters Neon Waltz play Perth Green Room.
On Sunday, it’s not quite metal, but Battles are at the O2, while Seth Lakeman is at Oran Mor. Icelandic tech duo Fufanu are at King Tut’s, and across at Edinburgh’s Liquid Room, it’s Godspeed You! Black Emperor
