Kapil Seshasayee releases a new single, ‘The Gharial’ via the Loner Noise label.

The song is named after a type of crocodile considered sacred in traditional Hindu mythology.

It’s the second track to be lifted from the Scottish-Indian artist’s forthcoming album ‘Laal’, which will follow up 2018 debut’A Sacred Bore‘ – a concept album based around India’s caste system.

The new long-player – the second part of Seshasayee’s Desifuturist Trilogy – discusses the indoctrination of India as well as critiquing some of Bollywood’s problematic tropes.

The Glasgow-based musician has previously played SXSW, Latitude and Celtic Connections and was scheduled for Wide Days 2020.

‘The Gharial’ is available to stream or download including bandcamp.
