Joell releases a new EP ‘Ignorance’.
The self-financed digital three-track release from the new experimental RnB artist was recorded in the same Leith basement studio complex as Young Fathers.
Previously, Joell has featured on the 2017 release by Edinburgh art collective 131 Northside, ‘Lost Memories’, and their members Billy and Woozie also feature on ‘Ignorance’.
Joell says of the new release: “Scotland’s stuck in its traditional ways, especially with regards to hip hop music. This project has taken me a year to package up and through music I can finally express my experience of the ups and downs of modern day youth, life and love.
“I don’t believe in conforming to today’s society and the aim of ‘Ignorance’ is to push listeners to be different, be unique, be creative and be yourself.”
