The eight track album, on Chemikal Underground, pay tribute to the veteran Californian singer-songwriter and artist, who was a favourite of Kurt Cobain and who has worked with members of the Butthole Surfers, The Pastels and Sebadoh.
A previous various artists tribute album saw the likes of Tom Waits, Beck and Sparklehorse record his tunes.
