Iona Fyfe has her debut album scheduled for release early next year – and has started an Indiegogo crowdfund campaign to create and release it.

Originally from Huntly but now based in Glasgow, the traditional singer is ineligible to apply to most funds as she is a student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland – hence the campaign to allow followers to pre-order CDs as well as purchase special rewards such as Skype Lessons, research notes and house concerts.

The new album – the follow up to self-funded debut 6-track CD, 2016’s ‘East’ – will be produced by award-winning musician and singer Jani Lang of Dallahan and will feature musicians such as fiddler Charlie Grey, singer and guitarist Luc McNally, bassist Callum Cronin, and piper Ross Miller .

On the 13th April, Iona will preview some of the songs which will feature on the long-player, with a hometown performance at The Linden Centre, in Huntly.
