And speaking of folkies, Frightened Rabbit (no link, not as if you need to hear them) are all over the place this week. A show at Perth’s Twa Tam’s on Thursday, then one in Ullapool, at the Arch Inn, on Saturday. Just the luck for the locals, as down the road in Inverness, Twin Atlantic are in town in whsat looks like an unfortunate bit of gig planning.
Except ver Rabbit are in Strathpeffer next Saturday. Phew.

Wednesday and Thursday see Wide Days take over Edinburgh again, for the annual music business seminar series run by the Born to be Wide crew. And open to non-industry types are the showcases on Thursday evening – with Homework and Honeyblood at Sneaky Pete’s, followed by Michael Cassidy and Quickbeam at The Third Door. Then, Donna Maciocia (formerly of Amplifico), Lady North and Honningbarna will play at the Electric Circus, which will also host the closing party.

Saturday night, back in the capital, sees Butcher Boy at the Pleasance Courtyard… not sure if that’s actually in the courtyard, so better being your brolly…

And definitely indoors, on Sunday at Glasgow’s Pivo Pivo, it’s Esperi, who sound a bit like this…
