Hed Swim release a new self-titled album.

The nine tracks from the Forres-based trio are available to download via Bandcamp, and Spotify and iTunes soon (but you’re better going to bandcamp).

Including single ‘We Are Home‘ – a “celebration of Scotland’ which features pipes by Sctot Hay – it follows up ‘Little Shiver‘, released last year.

The album, the band say, “reflects our anger and frustration about lockdown and is also optimistically looking forward.

“It was so brilliant to keep going with the band and have a positive outcome,” they add, “even though we recorded remotely in our three home studios.”

It’s their first new material since becoming a trio. With Steve Simms on vocals, for live shows guitarist Dave Martin drives a bass amp, while for recording sessions drummer George Sutherland provides bass.

Colin Mcleod – who has worked with the likes of Doves, Guy Garvey, and Badly Drawn Boy – was responsible for production, mixing and mastering, as well as playing keyboard.
