Following the announcement of the closure Edinburgh’s Picturehouse venue, we can only suggest that you get out and support live music. To paraphrase Joni Mitchell, you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s knocked down and converted into a Wetherspoons.

A wee bit late with this week’s lists but we can heartily suggest you check out friend of Pooh, Chris T-T, on Thursday 12th: at Roxy 171, Glasgow – or Randolph’s Leap at Drakes.
Or, in the east, Trapped Mice – responsible for one of the albums of the year, they’re with and Black International, at Edinburgh’s Banshee Labrynth

Friday – Fat Goth at Dundee Uni. Need we say more? Up the coast, Fiona Soe Paing is at Tunnels in Aberdeen. In Glasgow, a reborn Placebo with Dundonian singer (you can tell from the accent) Brian Molko. And Deathcats launch their cassette (!) at Glasgow’s 13th Note.

On Saturday, Jo Mango is at the Glad Cafe in Glasgow’s Southside. While The Twilight Sad play Edinburgh’s Liquid Room. Which clashes rather horribly with Kid Canaveral‘s Christmas Baubles – a minifest in Portobello, with Edwyn Collins headlining.
And another show in the capital – Deathcats‘ Embra leg of their single launch, at Henry’s.

FInally, Sunday, Kurt Vile is at The Arches in Glasgow.
