A plethora of international acts visiting northern Britain this week – including Jesus Jones at Glasgow’s O2 ABC on Tuesday 16th. And exotic Scandanavians First Aid Kit are at the Old Fruitmarket, same night, while er, not exactly ‘exotic’ but certainly exciting, Fat White Family at the Art School.

On Wednesday, Throwing Muses come to Glasgow – Oran Mor to be precise – while making less of a journey, Blood Relatives take in Flat 0/1.

Als on Wednesday, We Were Promised Jetpacks kick off what might be described as a tour of Scotland. Ok, they’re at Aberdeen Garage, and follow up that show with
a set at Dundee’s Non Zeros Thursday 18th, and then to Edinburgh’s Caves on Friday.

Back to Thursday though – when John Knox Sex Club are at Kinning Park Complex, and Paisley’s finest, Carnivores, schlep into the big toon for a gig at Bar Bloc. In the east, ‘hotly-tipped’ Luke Sital Singh is at The Pleasance.

On Friday, assuming that the world hasn’t ended, Aberdeen goes Very Metal, as Attica Rage come to town, with Darth Elvis in tow. That’s at the Moorings, as is the show on Saturday night, when it’s Ladykiller Caterpillar‘s turn to bring the rock (and Ruptured Ducklings) to Furryboot’s City.

Back to Friday again (starting to get motion sickness) when Ladykiller Caterpillar will be at Perth’s Cornna Hotel – and on the same night, another show in town as Kate Rusby plays Perth Concert Hall

Finally, we reach the weekend. On Saturday 20th September, Tijuana Bibles are at the Electric Circus, while last but not least, a special intimate show (their words) from Brownbear at Glasgow’s Stereo on with special guests Kyle Falconer out of The View, Janine from Vukovi, and a TeKlo DJ set. Nice.
