No surprise that Tigerfest takes centre stage again as week 2 of the Edinburgh leg gets under way. 4 shows include reformed Scots indie legends TV21 on Tuesday at Cabaret Voltaire, Aberfeldy’s Chris Bradley on the Wednesday, and on Friday, Daintees frontman Martin Stephenson making a rare solo appearance in the capital.
However, the is this music?-‘curated’ show at the Electric Circus on Wednesday takes pride of place (we think anyway). Jesus H Foxx and There Will be Fireworks co-headline at one of the venue’s regular ‘White Noise’ nights.
JHF, despite a background in various bands from around Scotland including Sweetheart and Hookers Green no.1, are the local heroes, while Glasgow’s TWBF have a pretty sizable following in the capital. That, and the fact that the shows are £3 entry means you’ll want to get along early.

Also, and giving us some national balance… Coco Rosie, from Seattle’s Subpop label, play the Classic Grand on Wednesday 12th. If you’re stranded in Glasgow by falling ash and can’t get through to the capital this would be your best bet for an almost-as-good night out…
