A busy Week In Gigs, and kicking off on the Monday as well – February 28th sees the first of two nights for Echo & The Bunnymen at Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom.

On the second night, just across the road at St Luke’s, Self Esteem.

Constant Follower are on tour with Mt. Doubt, and on Wednesday March 2nd, they play Stereo, in Glasgow. Same night, very different city: Yard Act celebrate their recent #2 album ‘The Overload’ with a show at Edinburgh’s Caves.

On Thursday 3rd, Yard Act are at Mono while also in Glasgow, Nouvelle Vague play Oran Mor.

In Edinburgh, at Sneaky Pete’s, it’s supergroup The Surfing Magazines – featuring members of The Wave Pictures and Slow Club – and special guest is alt.folk legend Lach.

Speaking of legends, Friday night sees Adam Ant grace the stage of Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall, while at the CCA, it’s the western leg of The Surfing Magazines‘ UK tour, and at the cathouse, former Bodysnatcher Rhoda Dakar.
In Dundee, Cheap Teeth play The Hunter S Thompson, while in Aberdeen, Nouvelle Vague play The Lemon Tree, while at The Tunnels, it’s former Mansun man Paul Draper. And Adam Ant‘s in Aberdeen on Saturday, at the Music Hall, Aberdeen, UK

In Glasgow, Graham Costello’s Strata play Webster’s Theatre, Wrest are at Oran Mor, and in Dunfermline, Mt. Doubt plus Constant Follower play P.J. Molloy’s.

More living legends on Saturday, as Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, plus Eddi Reader, are at the Armadillo, Laura Mvula plays Oran Mor, Electronic and Arthur Baker collaborator Astrid Williamson is at The Hug and Pint, and still in Glasgow, kind of, The Bookshop Band have a show at Baljaffray Parish Church, in Bearsden (we assume some sort of books are available there).

Rhoda Dakar is at Edinburgh’s Voodoo Rooms, Mickey 9s are at Stramash, and out of town, Wrest are at the new-to-us 1703 in Dunfermline, while Foreignfox play the Midnight Breakfast Club in Bathgate.

Finally, to Sunday, when Dana Gavanski has a show at The Hug and Pint, and Ron Sexsmith plays Cottiers Theatre. Callum Easter is at Broadcast, and Biffy Clyro kick off their upcoming UK tour with an intimate gig at SWG3.

Finally, Sunday also sees the return of Jacob Yates, plus Bat Phoenix at Glasgow’s Doublet Bar. And in Edinburgh, Tangerine Dream play the Assembly Rooms.
