Get your skates on, don your dancing trousers, and hit the gig trail – Monday night is music night, and Brighton punk-poppers Dream Wife are at SWG3 in Glasgow.

Alternatively, David Byrne is at the SSE Hydro while in Edinburgh, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have a show at The Caves

On Tuesday, 10cc (or what remains of them, probably more of a 5cc) play Perth Concert Hall, while Gaz Coombes, with a pleasingly good solo album in ‘World’s Strongest Man’ to plug, is at Edinburgh Liquid Room

Wednesday night sees Invernesian band of brothers Ded Rabbit embark on a tour of Scotland, starting in Edinburgh at Sneaky Pete’s.
Which means the Rabbity fellas will miss Turin Brakes, who play their hometown, with a show at Ironworks.
In Edinburgh, noisy rock trio Yak are at Sneaky Pete’s, while in Livingston, a sold-out show from Teenage Fanclub, who warm up for their trio of Glasgow shows with a set at Howden Park Centre.
In Dundee, Glasgow ‘council punk’ combo The Dunts play Buskers, and by way of contrast, Rick Astley is in Glasgow, at the Armadillo, with the resurgent Gabrielle in tow – in fact, they’re there on Thursday as well.

Also on Thursday night in Glasgow, it’s Ded Rabbit who are at The Hug and Pint, Dead Meadow are at Mono, and at St Luke’s, it’s The Vegan Leather.

Friday night sees Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5 in Inverness for a show at Ironworks, while Turin Brakes are at Edinburgh’s Liquid Room, and there’s another big name at the Usher Hall – First Aid Kit. However, gig of the night (and maybe week) could be Aidan Moffat & RM Hubbert, with support from Siobhan Wilson, at Edinburgh’s Pleasance Theatre
Still in the Lothians, Ded Rabbit play the Midnight Breakfast Club in Bathgate, and in Aberdeen, Sleaford Mods, who are at Unit 51. Same city, The Dunts have a show at Cafe Drummond, while at Glasgow’s CCA, another warm-up for Teenage Fanclub, this time at the CCA.

Saturday night sees First Aid Kit at another rather salubrious venue, Perth Concert Hall, while The Dunts play Edinburgh’s Mash House, and another show at Midnight Breakfast Club in Bathgate, this time for Brownbear.
In Aberdeen, Colonel Mustard & The Dijon 5 hit The Lemon Tree, and in Glasgow, Sleaford Mods are at the Barrowland.
And at what sounds like a rather ‘intimate’ venue, Jon Spencer has a show at Broadcast, while The Cosmic Dead are at Mono.

Finally, Turin Brakes are at Perth’s Inchyra Arts Club on Sunday, while First Aid Kit get down and dirty, with a show at the Barrowland.
