Well, it must be summer. The gig diary is just about empty, presumably because of a wee event up Perthshire way at the weekend.

Down at the sharp end, high points may include Tuesday, when Warren Ellis takes time off from The Bad Seeds to bring the Dirty Three to Edinburgh’s Summerhall.

On Wednesday it’s Gladys Knight (Pips optional) at the Festival Theatre

On Thursday, rock returns to Selkirk, but playing possibly the first show since Frightened Rabbbit’s, it’s Twin Atlantic at the Victoria Hall. They’re also at La Belle Angele in Edinburgh the following night.

Pity poor Aberdeen. The only shows we can find a listing for is the Stereophonics at the AECC… sorry, GE Oil and Gas Arena.

On Friday it’s KRS-One at the O2 ABC.

Last but not least, a psych odyssesy as The Telescopes and St.Deluxe visit Glasgow’s Hug and Pint on Saturday 9th…
