I’m quite sure everyone could do with some fun, but as that kind of thing is currently frowned upon, keep this to yourself Spare Snare have a show atThe Hug and Pint, in Glasgow, on Monday 19th, previewing material from their next album. Raveloe and Scottish Fault Lines are also on the bill.
Similarly, Pictish Trail is tearing up the rulebook by playing (sshh) a gig, at Dunfermline’s P.J. Molloy’s.

Things hopefully get back to some sort of normality now, and Deacon Blue frontman Ricky Ross is touring the country on his ownsome – he has a show at The Tivoli Theatre in Aberdeen on Tuesday 20th, while in Glasgow, Pictish Trail is at The Rum Shack.

Ricky Ross then plays Perth Theatre on Wednesday 21st, while Kathryn Joseph is at Eden Court Theatre, in Inverness, and Pictish Trail arrives in Bathgate. at the Regal Theatre.
In Glasgow, with album ‘Sound Of The Morning’ out recently(ish), Katy J Pearson plays Mono.

The Skids are in Aberdeen on Thursday 19th, at the new-to-us / could-be-a-typo venue Ogv Podium. This weekend it’s the True North Festival, and Los Bitchos also have a show in Furryboots City on Thursday.

Jazz singer Madeleine Peyroux plays the Usher Hall in Edinburgh, while same city, same night, Rory Butler – formerly of the Southern Tenant Folk Union – is at The Voodoo Rooms.
And in Castle Douglas, Pictish Trail is at The CatStrand.

On Friday night, Nitin Sawhney plays Aberdeen Music Hall, and Emma Pollock is at the Wonder Hoose, while down the coast, Kathryn Joseph is in St. Andrews, at the Byre Theatre.
In Edinburgh, The Skids play La Belle Angèle, and Ricky Ross‘s tour takes him to The Queen’s Hall. In Selkirk, at the Victoria Hall, Tide Lines, and The Big Moon trail new album ‘Here Is Everything’ – due in mid-October – with a show at Oran Mor in Glasgow.

Tide Lines‘ trawl around the Scottish Borders and thereabouts takes them to Dumfries on Saturday 24th, for a set at Easterbrook Hall, while Soccer Mommy play Queen Margaret Union (QMU), in Glasgow. Also in the big city, Astrid’s Willie Campbell is in solo mode, at the CCA Theatre, Glasgow, UK

Finally, former Love and Money man James Grant has a hometown show at Cottiers Theatre in Glasgow, and Ricky Ross is also in town, for a gig at the Royal Concert Hall.
