Things are a bit desolate on the gigging front, with Doune The Rabbit Hole just cancelled, but live music can be found if you look hard enough.

On Saturday July 31st, James Yorkston will play at (behind) Stirling’s Albert Halls, as part of the venue’s excellent Albert Smalls open-air series, which has already seen the likes of Roddy Woomble, Rachel Sermanni and Constant Follower grace its car park. And as if that wasn’t enough, Annie Booth is the evening’s special guest.

That’s about it for actual in-the-flesh gigs, but the very fine Refuweegee online takes to your screens again on Thursday July 29th, from 8pm, as Sounds in the Suburbs charges Iona Fyfe hosting an event tha also includes sets from Graham Rorie, Becky Hill, Isla Callister, and Alan Reid. It’s a Zoom event, with ‘ticket price’but please make a donation at www.refuweegee.co.uk.
