Our usual small but perfectly virtual gig guide begins on Monday April 19th (8pm UK time) – with Dave Arcari‘s latest instalment in his ‘Tales From the Road’ livestream series, at Facebook.com/groups/DaveArcarisWildcats.

But wait – a gig clash, just like in the pre-lockdown world! Also kicking off at 8pm on Monday is Dean Owens‘ show from Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre, as part of their Soundhouse series.

Sadly there’s no Calexico (Owens’ current EP is a collaboration with the desert rockers) but former bandmate in The Felsons, Kev McGuire, is on bass , while regular collaborator Amy Geddes joins on fiddle. You can get ticets and watch again fro a whole week, at www.traverse.co.uk/whats-on/event/dean-owens

On Thursday 22nd, Mt. Doubt‘s frontman Leo Bargery will, we’re pretty sure, be playing some favourites on hislivestream. That kicks off at 8pm

And trad act Skerryvore have an unusual livestream show, from the ballroom of the former Northern Lighthouse Board vessel Fingal, currently berthed in Leith Docks.
On Saturday 24 April from 7pm, Skerryvore’s Onboard event is the third such event of the past year.
