Must say that our more optimistic dreams last summer we imagined that by now we’d have dispensed with the term ‘livestream’, but needs must… so, on Monday 11th January at 8pm UK time it’s episode five of Tales From the Road – Dave Arcari – brings you stories of SxSW, the making of album ‘Live at Memorial Hall’, and the Orkney Blues Festival.

Also, with any luck, Mt. Doubt‘s frontman Leo Bargery – will be on home livestream duty on Thursday at 8pm.

7pm on Friday is the time for Angus Munro‘s regular home live sets – check his Facebook page in advance to see if he’s doing one this week as well as get a heads up on what the this week’s theme will be…

And also on Friday, Celtic Connections begins its three-week virtual incarnation – running from Friday 15th – February 2nd, Biffy Clyro, Roddy Woomble, Admiral Fallow, James Grant, Blue Rose Code, Elephant Sessions, Kris Drever, Aidan O’Rourke, Karine Polwart and Zoe Bestel are among the acts taking part form the safety of their own home studios (or pre-recorded in socially-distanced form at some of the festival’s regular venues.
