Get your gig-going week off to a thumping start – Swedish punks Viagra Boys are at Glasgow’s Queen Margaret Union, while in Reekie, Gary Numan has a show at the O2 Academy Edinburgh – which, for reasons of clarity, is actually the Corn Exchange.

THere’s an O2 Academy in Glasgow too of course, and Gary Numan plays there on Tuesday night (older readers will remember it as the New Bedford Cinema… we say older, it closed in 1973, replaced by a bingo hall, which fans of Gaz may not have been interested in at the time).

Anyway…
C Duncan has a new album ‘Alluvium’ out and it gets a launch, of sorts, at Edinburgh’s Caves, on Wednesday 11th.
Elsewhere, Twin Atlantic are at Ironworks in Inverness,…

And on Thursday, Twin Atlantic are back home in Glasgow, at the Barrowland, while over there a bit, Roddy Woomble‘s at Paisley’s Bungalow.

Friday 13th means it’s lucky for residents of Aberdeen, as Baby Strange play The Tunnels, while in Dunfermline, one of those inevitable double-headers – The Skids, and Big Country, at the Glen Pavilion.
Broken Chanter is out and about throughout the country, with a set at Irvine’s Harbour on Friday, while in Glasgow, Twin Atlantic have their second night at the Barras, and Warpaint play SWG3’s Galvanizers Yard. Smaller scale and considerably more noisy, Comfort are at Stereo.

On Saturday night, the 14th, The Snuts play what for them will be an intimate show, at Temple, in Falkirk. Broken Chanter is up the M9 (or you could go via Stenhousemuir on the A905) at the Tolbooth in Stirling.
However, if you fancy a healthy snack with your entertainment Alasdair Roberts is at the Roots & Seeds Cafe Bistro in Kirkcaldy, or The Budapest Cafe Orchestra play Craigmonie Centre in Drumnadrochit (unfortunately we have no information on the catering situation).

Back in Glasgow, C Duncan‘s at King Tut’s; through in Edinburgh A Guy Called Gerald performs (?) a DJ Set at The Mash House, Edinburgh, and while we don’t really ‘do’ trobute acts, we do mention ones with good names. So, The Polis are in Aberdeen, at The Tunnels. Expect an arresting performance.

Finally, the Cool Cat Club returns to Dundee two years after their last show (Spinning Coin if memory serves). Echo Machine, Post Ironic State, and School of Paris, all at Beat Generator Live.
