Quality over quantity this week, so take the time to rad throuhg your gig schedule, which starts on Tuesday 7th in Aberdeen. Former Everything But The Girl, er, bloke, Ben Watt is at the Lemon Tree in Aberdeen.

He’s also at the Voodoo Room in Edinburgh on Wednesday 8th.

On Thursday 9th, Sweeney Straddles The Sun launches his second album with a show at Glasgow’s Stereo, with support from The Hector Collectors.

Friday sees Sacred Paws play Edinburgh Summerhall, with Spinning Coin in tow. In Aberdeen at Cafe Drummond, it’s Jamie and Shoony.
Dundee has Ed Muirhead at WASPS Studio (check local maps for details) while Huxtable are at another new-to-us venue, the Tooth and Claw in Invernes.
And kicking off on Friday, Popsouth Weekender. Headlining the first night are indiepop veretans The Orchids, on Saturday 10th it’s Ballboy and The Spook School plus BooHooHoo, and on Sunday, an appearance by A New International.

Saturday 11th, in Glasgow, Kid Canaveral‘s Lumber Party (the ‘theme’ being that it runs until 3am, with The Drink and Rides of Christ plus Special Guests also on the bill).
Dave Arcari returns form his galavanting, for a Glasgow show at the Hug and Pint.
Huxtable at Dunfermline’s Monty’s and Jamie and Shoony are at Inverness Hootenany.

And finally on Saturday, at Leith Depot, it’s Ace Elementary, Røme and Le Bomb!
