Gareth Sager & The Hungry Ghosts release a new single, ‘St.Jock’, via The Creeping Bent Organisation.
A paean to the late punk-poet Jock Scot, who Sager worked with over the years, the track is taken from the final part of the band’s “Creeping Bent Triptych”, ‘Juicy Rivers’.
It follows up previous singles Come Share in My World’ and ‘Disco Sofa’, both lifted from the former Pop Group / Rip Rip and Panic member’s most recent long-player’.
Also on the new three-track effort are a couple of bonus tracks – ‘Buddy Heartache (& His 96 Tears)’ and ‘Swamp Dog Stomp’.
The band’s current line up, also featuring drummer Ian Holford (The Nectarine No9 / Sexual Objects) and bassist Dan Connolly played their first live show together at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow.
The track is available now as a bandcamp download.
