Gareth Sager releases an album, ‘How Can I Help You, When You Don’t Want To Help Yourself?’, via Creeping Bent.
The ten tracks are a collection of avant-rock (largely) instrumental dubs, although the single, ‘All You Put Me Through’, features Sexual Objects and former Fire Engines/Nectarine No. 9 frontman Davy Henderson on vocals.
His fourth album for the Glasgow-based label, it follows Sager’s ‘Creeping Bent Triptych’, formed of long-players ‘The Last Second of Normal Time’ (2004), ‘Slack Slack Music’ (2009), and ‘Juicy Rivers’ (2018).
Pianist, guitarist, saxophonist and clarinettist Sager is originally from Edinburgh and the founding member of The Pop Group, Rip Rig & Panic and Bristol group Head.
The album is available on CD or as a download – more at www.creepingbent.net.
