G. J. Gibson releases a new album, ‘Indyflop 2’.

From the guitarist of Edinburgh-based act Dancing Mice, the 10 tracks see Gibson in solo and multi-instrumental mode, taking on drums, bass, keyboards, mandolin, recorder and vocals, as he jokes, “with varying degrees of success”

The new album, available to download, follows ‘Not-so-hard-on-the-heels” of 2016’s ‘Ramshackle‘.

Gibson cites various influences on his sophomore long-player, including “Weil, (Arthur) Lee, Engel, Hitchcock & Sensible,” as he “navigates the choppy waters between homage and plagiarism.”
