The Artists Formerly Known As Happy Meals release a new single, ‘Synchronicity’.
The duo – Suzanne Rodden and Lewis Cook – now go under the Free Love monicker, following several releases using their previous name on Optimo and Night School Records.
The band say that “entering a new phase, a new cycle… we needed a new name too” – more on the reasons for the name change are detailed in a recent interview with The Quietus.
Since forming in 2014 at Glasgow’s Green Door Studio, the duo have been nominated for Scottish Album of the Year for their 2015 LP ‘Apèro’, toured across Europe in support of Liars and The Flaming Lips, and played festival shows as far as Austin, Moscow and Bangalore.
Free Love have a couple of dates lined up:
3rd August – Bestival
10th August – Django Django support @ Edinburgh International Festival
