London-based quartet Flutes release their debut single ‘Auld Archie’ on 10 September. It’s taken from the trio’s self-titled album due for release in December and is produced and mixed by Jamie Savage at Chem 19 studios and mastered by Iain Cook.
The members of the four-piece – Andrew Bruce, Alex Walker, Robert Marshall and Godfrey McFall – have worked under various guises (Oxford Economic Research, Runner and most recently Pushboxer) over the past seven years.
‘Auld Archie’ includes contributions from jazz label Basho Records’ signing Trish Clowes on clarinet and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra’s Louise McMonagle on cello.
They play shows at London’s Waterline on Monday 12th November followed by the Glasgow album launch at Nice’n’Sleazy on the 14th.
