Finiflex release their debut album under that name – ‘Suliven’.
The 10-track effort is a follow-up – of sorts – to 1995’s album ‘Sheigra’. Recorded under the Finitribe monicker, that release is similarly named after an area of the Scottish Highlands.
However, much has changed in the past 20 years – the namechange coinciding with the band reconvening as a duo of original members, producer and Finiflex Studios owner John Vick and DJ Davie Miller.
The band’s re-emergence follows a successful collaboration for a 25 year retrospective, which started in early 2014 with a reissue of classic track ‘De Testimony’ on limited 12″ vinyl.
The reconvened duo then released an EP, ‘Ta Ta Oo Ha’, before supporting Sparks in May 2018, and putting out a single (included on the new album), ‘Bonus Freaks’.
