Felix And The Sunsets release their debut EP, ‘Don’t Sleep’.
The solo project of Felix Christie (formerly of Ayakara) with his multi-instrumentalist brother Lukas Christie, the four tracks were recorded in a day at Leith Recording Studios.
It includes previous singles ‘Simone’ and its follow-up, August’s ‘Steal The Sun’, as well as title track ‘Don’t Sleep’ plus a cover of the Velvet Underground’s ‘Sweet Jane’.
Felix Christie describes ‘Simone’ as “a punky melancholy lament of a dream I had – I was trying to write something that sounds like Bob Dylan if he was in the Sex Pistols. I failed, but the song turned out good in a different way.͟”
The band play their debut show supporting DMS at Edinburgh͛’s Liquid Room on Saturday 10th of November, playing the EP in full as well as new material which they are currently working on with a view to releasing an album next year.
