Evan Anderson releases a single, ‘Far Be It’, on Start Stop Vinyl – an independent record label in the Scottish Borders.
The 16 year old singer-songwriter is the first artist to be released on the new imprint – his debut single being available in both English and Japanese versions.
The Borders-based musician, who was a contestant on the first series of the BBC music competition, Got What It Takes has gathered a following in Japan, thanks to his posting of cover versions of his favourite J-Pop tracks including ‘Human’ by Shuta Sueyoshi. However, he is working on his own material for an album scheduled for release in the summer of 2019.
The label – founded by William Anderson, a member of ’90s Edinburgh indie act Rope – also has plans for further releases including material from Anderson’s current project, Binary Sunset.
‘Far Be It’ can be heard on Youtube as well as Spotify.
