Back to Tuesday, in Aberdeen, where Travis are at the Music Hall, with Electric Honey’s Young Aviators in tow.

Meanwhile in Glasgow, Randolph’s Leap are at The Drake (wherever that is…) and Miniature Dinosaurs are at Broadcast

There Will be Fireworks will be plugging their fine new album, with a show at SWG3 on Friday. And the man who made Nirvana “unlistenable” – Steve Albini – brings mates Bob Weston and Todd Trainer to Scotland in the form of Shellac – are at Edinburgh’s Liquid Room Friday on Friday, then SWG3 Saturday. Oddly enough, Pixies – also produced (sorry, “engineered”) by Albini – play the Barras on Saturday…

On Saturday in Inverness, Netsounds Unsigned have a show at Mad Hatters (Hootananny), with Glasgow “failpoppers” So Many Animal Calls plus support from local lads Silver Coast .

The Creeping Bent Organisation team up with Sounds in the Suburbs for a couple of shows where Vic Godard, with the Sexual Objects, perform the classic Subway Sect debut album ‘What’s The Matter Boy’.
The shows are on Friday 22nd November in the Voodoo Rooms, Edinburgh, and on Saturday 23rd November in the Centre of Contemporary Arts (CCA), Glasgow and The Sexual Objects will also open the shows with a ste of their own material.

2manydjs return to The Arches for a 10th anniversary show on Saturday 23rd – yes, a decade since the aka Soulwax brothers first played at Death Disco.

In Aberdeen Saturday – music scribe, former Membrane and all-round King of Soul (Power) John Robb and crew – Goldblade, are at The Tunnels
