US post-rock supergroup Esmerine play the UK and include Stereo in Glasgow on Monday 19th September.The band’s touring lineup includes members of Godspeed, Silver Mount Zion, Islands and Unicorns and are promoting a recent album on Constellation entitled La Lechuza. (video)

Anti-folk legend Stanley Brinks, formerly known as Andre Herman-Dune, plays Edinburgh’s Wee Red Bar, with support from fellow Frenchie, Frenschard (listen) on Thursday 22nd.

Also in Edinburgh and inconveniently on the same night, North Atlantic Oscillation / Miaoux Miaoux / Discopolis comprise another reliably impressive Limbo @ Edinburgh Voodoo Rooms on Thursday 22nd.

If you though that was an impressive lineup, here’s one to rival it: former De Rosa frontman Martin John Henry begins the run-up to his debut solo release … which is out in October.
