As ever, time you were putting on your dancing trousers and heading out to see some live musicm rather than typing up lists of stuff for other people to attend. Er…
So, Monday, Edinburgh, any time now… Eric Pulido – him out of Midlake – is at the Electric Circus.
And two-legged blues machine Dave Arcari is at Glasgow’s 13th Note
On Wednesday 27th, the only show in town (or indeed the country) is antifolk legend Lach and attendant friends, at Henry’s Cellar Bar.
On Thursday 28th, No Island are at Aberdeen’s Cellar 35, while Aberdonians (er…) Cuddly Shark play Glasgow’s Bloc
In Aberdeen, on Friday, a choice – Fat Goth at Tunnels or Yashin at the Garage
In Edinburgh on Friday at the Wee Red Bar a veritable noise-fest, with Die! Die! Die!, United Fruit and Black International.
Down the coast, in Fife, Nine Black Alps are at Kirkcaldy Windsor Hotel
And former chart star (kind of, as Jilted John) John Stuttleworth, brings his caravan to Stirling’s macrobert
On Saturday, Vigo Thieves are at PJ Molloy’s, while ska monsters Bombskare play Edinburgh’s Studio 24.
Saturday is a sad day for indie rock – The Plimptons play Stereo in Glasgow, for the final time. It’s an all-day extravaganza, with The Bucky Rage, Orphans and Scunner among the 6 bands on the bill
In the unlikely event that you don’t fancy that aural extravaganza, then RM Hubbert is at the CCA… and Jonnie Common is south of the river, at the Glad Cafe.
On Sunday, more rock in Aberdeen – Biffy Clyro are at the AECC
And finally… Chas & Dave at the O2 ABC – somewhat implausibly with Warren Mcintyre and the Starry Skies as support.
