In Aberdeen on Wednesday, at The Tunnels 1, Mount Eerie & Band / The Kitchen Cynics, as Phil Elverum stops off on his way to Primavera, for a short UK tour. It’s as often is the case with top shows in Aberdeen an Interesting Music promotion – tickets here.
On Thursday in Edinburgh it’s perk popsters Kid Canaveral, at the Caves.
Across in Glasgow, same night (Thursday, pay attention) Woodenbox play a pretty big show at the Grand Ole Opry
And closer to the town centre, Rod Jones brings The Birthday Suit to Nice’n’Sleazy – quite an intimate gig for the Idlewild guitarist.
Friday has Quebecois Jagjaguwar recording artistes Besnard Lakes at Stereo.
Meantime, Blueflint can be heard across the road at the Old Hairdressers.
Up in Perth on Friday evening, Admiral Fallow are at the Concert Hall Friday
In Glasgow a couple of weird ones – it’s not that long since Therapy? played the city, but on Saturday, Andy Cairns is at King Tuts
Similarly, it seems like only yesterday Madness were closing the Olympics / the BBC / the Ark Royal, but Suggs is at the Pavilion
Another blog triple tag team event – at Broadcast on Sauchiehall Street on Saturday May 25th, with The Spook School , Garden of Elks and Colin’s Godson.

And last but not least – across the weekend – Saturday / Sunday 24th & 25th, another electronic and dance extravaganza at SWG3, for the Electric Frog festival.
Headliners include David Morales with a 5 hour DJ set, Dimitri From Paris, Octave One, Chez Damier and Matias Aguayo both doing live sets, Erol Alkan doing a disco set, Harri and Domenic, and Optimo.
